alberto bertoldi
Alberto Bertoldi is an Italian artist, born in Luserna San Giovanni (Turin, Italy). He spent his childhood surrounded by mountains, in fact landscapes are the protagonists of his paintings. Bertoldi attended the nude school in Brera (Milan, Italy) and there he studied the ancient Northern European masters and the aesthetics of the Sublime. Since the 90’s he began to exhibit regularly and he dedicated himself almost entirely to his beloved Clouds: they are dynamic, a representation of human life and its emotions.
Bertoldi is called the painter of Clouds, in fact the landscape in his works is only a background. The artist favors the sky, the place of spirituality: sometimes it is dramatic, stormy and other times calm. We cannot say that Bertoldi's art is hyperrealistic: there is no reproduction of nature, because nature is reinterpreted and transfigured.
Bertoldi’s artworks has been sold in important auctions, such as Sotheby’s. He currently collaborates with a lot of galleries, mainly abroad.
