Quaresima is an Italian artist based in Merano (Italy). He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice and there his attention for vivid colours came out. At the beginning of his artistic career he focused on human figures but after a few years  has shifted his subjects to Objects (as he defines them) and not still lifes, because they are able to tell stories of everyday life.
His strength lies in composition, he is truly skilled in creating situations, sometimes surreal, that go beyond mere reality. With his mastery in the use of colors he manages to define the materiality of each object. His painting is not hyper-realistic because when we approach his work of art we can see the brushstrokes and the refined painting technique.

He currently works with renown galleries around the world.
